Feasibility study on the development of a national Biofuels Industry (2008)
- Project detail: Renetech was co-responsible for evaluating the national development of a sustainable national Biofuels Industry policy, industrial initiatives and major opportunities and challenges in an African country.
Environmental Impact Assessment of the proposed SEKAB-BAF Biofuel Development Project in Bagamoyo, Tanzania (2007)
- Project Detail: Renetech was responsible for completing the industrial processing of Sugar Cane Biofuel study and the Tanzanian Biofuel Policy Framework study for this EIA in Bagamoyo, Tanzania. SEKAB is the largest Bio-ethanol trader in Europe today. This bio-refinery project will produce sugar cane on 20,000 hecatres. This will be processed into bio-ethanol and green electricity. Swedish Ethanol Chemistry AB (SEKAB) is committed to developing the first regional role-model BioEnergy cluster with a planned 400,000 hectares under cultivation, to demonstrate the commercial viability of a Tanzanian National BioEthanol/BioElectricity Platform to be developed over the next 15-25 years.
Implementation plan for building a centralised Anaerobic digestion plant in Ireland (2005, 2007)
- Project Detail: Renetech developed an implementation plan detailing the provisions for a centralised Anaerobic Digestion (biogas) plant in County Westmeath. Input substrate, digestion, digestate management and use of biogas were described. The different stakeholders required to support the process in different phases were outlined. The process to unite these stakeholders and the regulatory and institutional requirements were reviewed. The report covered all aspects of the business model including the business case, the capital outlay, logistic considerations, building design, operations, biomass utilisation, the operational process, energy production and utilisation. A full financial plan and project build plan was included in the report.
Founding of Special Purpose Company for ethanol production (2006)
